At La Bella, we strive to create a relaxing, comfortable, client focused environment. Below are some policies and procedures that will help us to continue to create the environment in our cozy salon cottage.
To book an appointment with us we prefer you to call 615-264-3221. We enjoy talking on the phone with our clients. We can be reached through email as well, but don’t be surprised when we ask for your telephone number so we can call. Please note booking an appointment after a chemical service consultation or appointments exceeding 3 hours will require at least a $50 deposit at the time of booking.
Our schedules at La Bella can be very busy, but we work hard to accommodate all of our clients. If we are not able to get your appointment booked on the day or time you need, we can add you to our cancellation list. This is another way we go above and beyond to meet our clients needs. If the day or time you requested becomes available, we will call you.
New Client Chemical Service Consultation
We require a consultation for all new chemical service clients. Each consultation generally takes 15 minutes. The consultation offers an opportunity for you to meet your stylist, discuss your hair goals, receive a general price quote, and experience a glimpse of your new favorite salon in town. The consultation time also allows your stylist an opportunity to assess your hair history, plan ahead for your appointment, and book your appointment for the adequate amount of time. Booking an appointment after a consultation will require a $50 deposit fee at the time of booking.
Color Corrections and Blonding Services
We define a color correction as any color that requires drastic change such as: darker to lighter hair color, removing at home (box dye) hair color, or fixing/repairing an undesired hair color. All of our color corrections do require a consultation previous to making an appointment. Color correction appointments require 50% down of estimated service cost and are charged hourly. Most color corrections and extreme blonding services start at $75 an hour and go up depending on stylist and technique required. Most color corrections and blonding services require at least two separate appointments and can go up depending on the integrity of the hair. In most cases, a client release form will be required before performing any color corrective or extreme blonding service. This form will lay out in detail all hair history, general price quote, and the consent of the client.
Deposits are only required if you are booking after a chemical service consultation, for a special event, for a chemical service exceeding 3 hours, or for a color correction service. Deposits are taken to ensure your appointment time and date. Deposits are non refundable and are deducted at the completion of your services. If for some reason you need to cancel or reschedule, your deposit can be refunded within a 48 hour notice. If the 48 hour notice is not given within the appropriate time, the deposit will be paid to the stylist.
Taking New Clients
We are happy to host new clients in our salon! Some of our stylists are not accepting new clients but we are happy to host you with an available stylist.
Missed or no-show appointments prevent our ability to accommodate you and meet the needs of our clients. If you must cancel an appointment, please call us (615-264-3221) to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. This will give us time to fill your appointment time slot.
Failure to call and cancel or reschedule will result in a charge of 50% of the service you had booked. The cancellation payment will need to be paid before booking a new appointment.
Running late happens. Traffic and unforeseen things come up all the time. We understand! Please give us a call (615-264-3221) if you are running late for your appointment. In most cases, 10 to 15 minutes will be just fine. Please understand that your appointment will end at the original end time booked. After 15 minutes, if we haven’t heard from you or been able to reach you, we will count it as a no-show appointment and our cancellation policy will be implemented. See above.
We do offer special pricing for children’s haircuts (12 and under) and enjoy getting to meet your precious little people. If they have a scheduled appointment, we ask that only one parent or guardian accompany the child. However, if your child does not have a scheduled appointment, please do not bring them with you to your appointment. La Bella is a great little cottage with lots of cool things like stairs, hot tools, chemical products, and breakable things. We want your experience at La Bella to be about you and we will work hard to get you in on a day where you can coordinate childcare.
Friends and Family
Due to Covid restrictions at this time, we cannot allow anyone in the salon that does not have a scheduled appointment. Please contact us if you require someone to accompany you for special circumstances.
Cell Phone and Devices
At La Bella, we offer free Wi-Fi to all of our clients on a secure network. However, we ask that you silence your devices when entering the salon. We encourage our clients to enjoy their service time and refrain from answering calls or browsing while a service is being performed. Please be mindful of the clients around you as they are also trying to enjoy their time in the salon. To assist in making our salon a pleasant experience for all patrons, we ask that you please use headphones if you are going to watch videos or browse on your device.
Right to Refuse Service
La Bella reserves the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior to any of our stylists or clients.
La Bella accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, and Cash. Tipping is encouraged if you are satisfied with the service of your stylist. Stylists receive 100% of the tips received. The average tip encouraged is 18% to 20% and is not included in your overall service cost.
We offer an array of complimentary beverage choices for your appointment time with us. (Coffee, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, hot tea, sodas, water, white wine, and red wine)
Salon services are non refundable but if for some reason we did not meet your expectations we will offer a corrective service free of charge.
The service correction will be handled by management and must be brought to management’s attention within a week of the original service date.
Corrected services will not be free of charge if you have changed your mind about your hair color since the original service date. Keep in mind that some of our blonding and corrective color appointments require multiple appointments and will not be considered for a service complaint between appointments.
Product Return Policy
If your product purchase does not meet your expectations, we are happy to issue a salon credit within 2 weeks of the product purchase date.
At La Bella, we are committed to the safety of our clients and abiding by all state board and state requirements. Hand sanitation is required before and after every service. All surfaces are sanitized regularly and between every client. All of our capes, color smocks, and towels are laundered and disinfected with laundry additive after every use. We are abiding by the CDC recommendations and require quarantining where necessary. We have limited our capacity in the salon and are social distancing wherever possible. If you have any symptoms of Covid, flu, or have been around anyone that has tested positive, we ask that you kindly reschedule your appointment for an appropriate amount of time until symptoms have cleared.
